Iranians Effectively Blunted CIA-Mossad Attempt to Isolate Tehran: US Pundit

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A former US army psychological warfare officer and counter-terrorism analyst based in San Francisco said the Iranian nation has been successful in foiling “US-CIA-Mossad attempt” to isolate and undermine the Islamic Republic.

“Iran represents a nation that has effectively blunted the US-CIA-Mossad attempt to isolate and weaken Iran, by showing little interests or emotional dependency on the Western ideas,” Scott Bennett said in an interview with the Tasnim News Agency.

“Iran has maintained its top priority of cultivating a healthy life and mind through its own conservative rituals of family, marriage, child-rearing, education, culture, leisure, and religious exercise.  The other nations of the world find these characteristics of Iran the most effective and appealing,” he noted.

Bennett is a US Army Special Operations Officer (11th Psychological Operations Battalion, Civil Affairs-Psychological Operations Command), and a global psychological warfare-counterterrorism analyst, formerly with defense contractor Booz Allen Hamilton. He received a Direct Commission as an Officer, held a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance, and worked at the highest levels of international counterterrorism in Washington DC and MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. He has developed and managed psychological warfare theories, products, and operations for US Special Operations Command, US Central Command, the State Department Coordinator for Counterterrorism, and other government agencies.

The full text of the interview is as follows:

Tasnim: As you know, the Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 38 years ago, ending the 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country. Since then, on February 11 each year, Iranian people pour into the streets in their millions to commemorate the great victory of the Islamic Revolution and voice their support for the country’s establishment. The rallies held across Iran on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution have remained in place despite some ups and downs, including difficulties created for the people by the economic sanctions. In your opinion, what are the factors behind the people’s massive presence in the rallies and how can the unity of the Iranian people and government foil plots hatched against the country by its enemies, like the US?

Bennett: Nothing inspires a nation and its people more than defending their families and country from an invading army or purging their culture of violence.  There is a catharsis, a cleansing, a rebirth of a nation that occurs, and this transformation releases a joy and peace, unlike any other feeling.  It is this feeling of peace and joy, and spiritual awakening which gives people what revolutionary writer Hannah Arendt described as necessary for a great revolution:  “a new sense of freedom and creating something.”  Iran has experienced this to a certain extent in its experience with the Shah who was installed in 1953, the revolution of 1979 to free themselves and redefine their political and social and economic destiny on their own terms, their war with Iraq, and their current struggle to solidify their nation’s place in the modern world, without betraying or undermining their dreams for the future. Today, the key to a prosperous and stable relationship with the other nations in the world is not through military means or propaganda or economic policy, but rather through the “hearts and minds” of the people.  Only through finding our common human experiences, questions, and truths surrounding God, family and love, work and occupation, and leisure and culture, can we create relationships with other peoples, and through relationship be able to find the good, the true, and the beautiful in each other.

Through showing in our faces and words a natural joy and peace and hope, while at the same time maintaining an uncompromising sense of integrity and honor, the other nations and peoples will have a greater desire for peace with Iran, rather than conflict or controversy.  In addition, the mainstream media of the world is losing its influence on the American and the European public, and in its place, the alternative media, the internet news, and venues such as Press TV and Russia Today have a powerful attraction to Western audiences starved for truth.

Tasnim: After the Islamic Revolution in 1979, Iran has been the only nation in the Middle East that continued to stand up against the US presence in the region and insisted on its independence. What do you think about Iran’s model of countering the US hegemony? Has Iran been able to spread the model and inform the international community of the meddlesome and hypocritical policies of Washington toward the region?

Bennett: Iran has defined itself as a nation, a culture, and a people that is diverse, tolerant, and able to withstand the lies and attacks of antagonistic governments.  Iran’s success as a nation has been its calm restraint and patience, balanced with a firm and uncompromising commitment to peace and humility.  This is characteristic of the government policies of Iran is also a reflection of the noble temperament of its people, and this is what serves to attract other non-aggressive nations.  Sadly, since 1990, the United States has been largely manipulated and deceived by the Zionist extremist Israeli agenda of destabilizing the Middle East in order to remove any competitors or potential enemies of Israel.  This was triggered by the false flag attacks of 9/11, which were in turn blamed on Muslims in order to justify a larger war policy of re-creating the Middle East by destroying it and replacing its political regimes.  For fifteen years, war and chaos and poverty and death have been the fruits of this policy—as seen in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, and Ukraine.  However, with the awakening of the alternative media and the slow death and loss of all respect of the mainstream media in the West (such as the Washington Post, New York Times, television news channels, etc.), the consciousness of Americans and Europeans are awakening from the deceptions they’ve been abused by and they are finding a fresh appreciation for simple, unbiased, non-politically correct truth.  “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.”

Iran represents a nation that has effectively blunted the US-CIA-Mossad attempt to isolate and weaken Iran, by showing little interests or emotional dependency on the Western ideas.  Iran has maintained its top priority of cultivating a healthy life and mind through its own conservative rituals of family, marriage, child-rearing, education, culture, leisure, and religious exercise.  The other nations of the world find these characteristics of Iran the most effective and appealing.

Tasnim: In your opinion, what are the methods used by hegemonic powers to prevent Iran’s anti-imperialist model from spreading in the region and what are their executive factors?

Bennett: Unfortunately, propaganda, sound bites, and repeating images depicting Iran as a people of flag-burning, screaming, angry psychopaths has been used to keep Americans fearful and distrusting of Iran.  Iran needs to cultivate a communication strategy of helping, teaching, inspiring, and healing Americans and the Europeans from much of the self-destruction they have experienced as a result of their immoral or hedonistic materialistic and lustful pursuits.

Attempting to inspire fear in the people of the world against Iran and branding Iran as an extremist terrorist state, sponsor of heinous acts of cruelty, sex slavery of women, persecution of Christians and Jews, and with an appetite and agenda to conquer and enslave the world to some form of Sharia Islamic law, is the main way of undermining Iran.  Ironically, much of these acts are committed by the Wahhabi ideology and nations such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and others.  So to attempt to brand Iran as this also is not only ignorance, but gross incompetence or deception by the communications elements of Western government, media, and military policy.

Tasnim: If the Islamic Revolution had not occurred in Iran and the anti-imperialistic thinking had not spread, what would have happened then and what situation would have been created in Iran and the region?

Bennett: Iran most likely would have degenerated into a lazy, paranoid, and violent country—like Saudi Arabia—if the Islamic Revolution had not occurred.  It would have also become increasingly dependent on immoral loans, cultural impurities, and degenerate morals which have begun to run rampant over the past few years in the West.

Iran’s independence from the international Rothschild banks, the globalist agenda of the population and economic control, and Iran’s sense of strong moral, religious, and social values has helped inoculate it against much of the vice, lust, and social corrosion which permeates many aspects of modern life.  By maintaining a core of conservative beliefs and values, such as marriage as being a sacred bond between man and woman, the family and children as a gift and celebration and honor given by God to people, and peace and harmony and tolerance of other nations and peoples as being our sacred duty to God, Iran will continue to appeal to the nations of the world who share these desires for peace and prosperity and hope for the future.
