English Fans Go Wild as Football Team Reaches World Cup Semifinal after 30 Years (+Video)

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - England's football supporters caused chaos on streets last night as they celebrated reaching a World Cup semifinal for the first time in nearly 30 years.

Videos circling in social media show reckless fans shattering car windows and one even crashing through the glass roof of a London bus stop as their celebrations turned ugly.

In one incident in Russia an English fan was filmed attacking a Russian police car in the middle of a street, which was violently arrested by the officers.

Another lout in Clapham Junction was filmed clambering onto the roof of a double-decker before jumping on to a bus stop. But he crashed straight through the glass and sent an innocent traveler flying onto the pavement.

It was estimated that a record 30 million people would watch the match on TV in the UK, and fans would sink about 38 million pints at home and in pubs, where revelers started queuing five hours before kick-off, Mirror reported.

With their 2-0 victory over Sweden, the Three Lions will now face Croatia on Wednesday night.

The winner of that match will face either Belgium or France in the July 15 final in Moscow.

Crazy celebrations can be expected if England advance to the World Cup final for the first time since winning it all in 1966.
