Iran to Host CISM Archery Games

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Army is going to host the first edition of the International Military Sports Council (CISM) archery competitions in November, a top commander said.

In comments on Wednesday, Deputy Chief of Iran's Army for Coordination Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said the CISM archery games will be held at Tehran’s Azadi sports complex on November 11-16.

The competitions will be attended by 10 foreign teams, he noted.

The International Military Sports Council is one of the largest multidisciplinary organizations in the world that organizes various sports events for the armed forces of its 138 member countries.

Each year, CISM organizes over 20 international events in around 30 different sports fields, according to its website.
