Watford Interested in Signing Iran’s Milad Mohammadi

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – English Premier League football team Watford is reportedly going to sign Iranian international defender Milad Mohammadi.

The 25-year-old player, who plays for Akhmat Grozny in the Russian Premier League, is out of contract at the end of the campaign.

The Sun reported that Watford may attempt a cut-price approach for Mohammadi when the transfer window reopens, with coach Javi Gracia a fan from his time in Russia.

Fenerbahce of Turkey has also been credited with interest in Mohammadi, although the Sun claims he favors a move to British football, giving the upper hand to Celtic and Watford.

Celtic's main rivals, Rangers, was linked with Mohammadi in the recent transfer window, although it is unclear whether Steven Gerrard's side remains keen on the versatile left-sider.
