Head of Iran’s Social Security Organization, Deputy Die in Car Crash

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Head of the Social Security Organization of Iran Seyed Taqi Noorbakhsh and his deputy died in a fatal car crash in the country’s northern province of Golestan.

Mr. Noorbakhsh and his deputy for parliamentary affairs, Abdolrahman Tajeddin, were in the labor minister’s motorcade in an intercity road when a truck hit their SUV.

The two officials were pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital on Thursday evening.

In a message of condolence on Thursday night, President Hassan Rouhani expressed deep sympathy over the passing away of the two officials.

The president paid tribute to Noorbakhsh as a committed and hard-working manager who had been serving sincerely in the administration over the past 5 years.
