TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Protests continued in Hong Kong overnight on Sunday, as demonstrators occupied the government's headquarters and tried to establish a camp.

Footage shows protesters sitting or lying on the floor, under police presence.

Organizers are calling for the full withdrawal of the currently suspended China extradition law.

Makeshift memorials paid tribute to the activist who reportedly plunged to his death from a construction scaffolding after unfurling a protest banner denouncing the bill.

Barricades were set up by the protesters to block the roads, which were removed by the police after daybreak Monday, as they started clearing the streets of demonstrators.

The march comes despite Hong Kong's Chief Executive Carrie Lam announcing an indefinite suspension of the controversial extradition bill on Saturday, in the wake of clashes between demonstrators and police.
