Iranians Win Four Medals at Asian Oceania Cadets, Junior C’ships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Four Iranian athletes claimed medals at the 2019 Asian Oceania Cadets and Junior Championships in Taipei.
Ali Parhizgar won a gold medal after defeating his rival from Tajikistan in the -100kg final.
Amin Kamyabi lost to his Japanese rival at the -81kg final match and won a silver medal.
Ghasem Baghchegi won a bronze medal in -90kg weight category.
Iranian woman Maryam Barbat also won a silver medal in the -70kg after losing to her Kazakhstan opponent.
The competition brought about 200 judo athletes from 23 countries together.
