Iran Suffers Second Defeat at Peak Invitational International
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national basketball team lost to Poland 88-83 at the Peak Invitational International in China.
Iran defeated Nigeria 85-71 on Thursday but lost to Montenegro 89-77 in its second match on Friday.
Team Melli participated in the competition as part of preparation for the 2019 FIBA World Cup.
Iran has been pitted against Spain, Puerto Rico and Tunisia in Group C of the World Cup.
The competition will be held in China from August 31 to September 15.
The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup will be the 18th tournament of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for men's national basketball teams.
