Iran Beaten by Poland at FIVB World Cup

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Poland eased past Iran 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-16) at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Cup on Tuesday at Hiroshima Green Arena.

Porya Yali led Iran with 14 points while Poland’s Wilfredo Leon Venero finished with a match-high 17 points.

It was Iran’s last match in the tournament. Team Melli suffered seven loses and won four matches.

The 2019 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup features 12 national teams from the five continental confederations playing in Nagano, Fukuoka and Hiroshima in a round-robin format from October 1 to 15.

The Men's World Cup kicked off for five match days in Fukuoka and Nagano and the teams have moved to Hiroshima for the remaining six match days.
