Iran Earns Historic Win against S. Korea at 2019 AHF Men's Asian Qualification
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national handball team defeated Asian powerhouse South Korea 28-27 at the 2019 AHF Men's Asian qualification on Friday.
The Iranian team will play Bahrain, who defeated Kuwait 26-21, on Sunday in Group B.
Host Qatar beat Hong Kong 49-19 and India lost to Saudi Arabia 35-24 in Group A.
The top two teams will qualify for the semi-finals and the winner book a place at the 2020 Olympic Games.
The second-placed team will qualify for the Olympic qualification in April.
