Iranian Duo Win Bronze Medals at World Taekwondo Grand Prix

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Armin Hadipour and Soroush Ahmadi from Iran claimed two bronze medals at the 2019 World Taekwondo Grand Prix underway in Sofia, Bulgaria on Friday.

Hadipour and Italy's Vito Dell’Aquila seized the bronze in the men’s under -58kg.

The gold medal went to South Korean Jang Jun who defeated his countryman Kim Tae-hun 12-1 in the final.

In the men’s under -68kg, Ahmadi and Chinese Taipei's Huang Yu-jen were the men's under-68kg bronze medalists.

Zhao Shuai from China defeated three-time world champion Lee Dae-hoon 17-7 to win gold.

The 2019 World Taekwondo Grand Prix is the 7th edition of the World Taekwondo Grand Prix series.
