Persepolis Completes Signing of Anthony Stokes
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian football team Persepolis has completed the signing of Anthony Stokes on Sunday.
The 31-year-old forward will continue his footballing World Tour with a stop in Tehran to play for the Iranian popular football club.
The Irishman has been without a club since having his contract terminated by Turkish side Adana Demirspor in November. Stokes was just four months into a two-year deal.
The former Arsenal forward joined Tractor in June 2018 and scored 15 goals in 23 matches for the Iranian top-flight football club.
Persepolis, who sits top of the Iran Professional League, is going to win title for the fourth year in a row.
The Reda also are favorites to win Hazfi Cup.
