AFC Cancels Annual Awards 2021: Report
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) decided to cancel the AFC Annual Awards 2021 due to the unprecedented situation caused by the COVID-19 global pandemic.
A source close to the AFC told Saudi Arabian newspaper Al Riyadiah that the ceremony will not be held.
According to the newspaper, Iran international goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand was in the six-player list to win the award.
The previous edition of the AFC Annual Awards was canceled due to the coronavirus as well.
