Mehdi Torabi Happy to Return to Persepolis
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Newly-signed winger Mehdi Torabi says he is happy to return to his former club Persepolis.
Torabi signed a one-and-a-half-year deal with Persepolis on Saturday.
“I’m very happy to return to Persepolis. I want to repeat the success I achieved with the team in the past once again,” Torabi said in a news conference.
“Persepolis is going to win the title for the fifth successive time and I want to help it to win the league once again. I also want to help Persepolis in the 2021 AFC Champions League,” he added.
Torabi canceled his contract with Al-Arabi after the Qatari club signed Tunisian Youssef Al-Masakeni.
Iraqi midfielder Bashar Resan has left Persepolis and the club has signed Torabi as Resan’s replacement.
