Iran’s Vafaei Beats Englishman Lines at Welsh Open Snooker

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian player Hossein Vafaei defeated Peter Lines at the Welsh Open Snooker 2021 on Tuesday.

He defeated the Englishman 4-2 in his opener. Vafaei will face Xintong Zhao from China on Wednesday.

Soheil Vahedi, another Iranian snooker player, will meet Englishman Stuart Carrington later on Tuesday.

The 2021 Welsh Open is an ongoing professional ranking snooker tournament, taking place from February 15 to 21, 2021 at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales.

The event's total prize fund is £405,000, with the winner receiving £70,000.
