Winter Ends with Iran’s Victory in Economic War: President Rouhani
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – President of Iran Hassan Rouhani praised the country’s victory against the economic war imposed by the enemies, saying the springtime has coincided with the season of prosperity of the Iranian nation.
President Rouha5ni gave a televised speech on Saturday to congratulate the Iranian people on the beginning of year 1400 and Nowruz.
In his message, the president said the end of winter is marking the termination of miseries and sufferings as the breeze of Nowruz is a harbinger of prosperity, victory and progress of the Iranian nation.
Describing the onset of the era of economic boom, prosperity and well-being as the outcome of the Iranian nation’s patience and resistance, President Rouhani said the foreign pressures failed to bring Iran to its knees.
“Iran’s economy survived and the epic resistance of the nation went down in history,” he noted.
The Persian New Year, Nowruz, began on Saturday on the last day of winter, as Iranians are celebrating the beginning of spring with spirits rising for leaving the coronavirus pandemic behind after a difficult year.
In a video message on Saturday, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei praised the Iranian nation’s victory in confronting the enemy’s maximum pressures, and chose “production: support and the elimination of obstacles” as the slogan for the new year.
