Funeral Procession, Ritual Prayers Held for Iran's Expediency Council Chairman (+Video)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has led people to perform the ritual ‘prayer for the deceased’ at the funeral of Chairman of Iran’s Expediency Council Ayatollah Seyed Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi on Wednesday.
Iranian leader has led a large crowd of people, including top officials in the ritual ‘prayer for the deceased’ at the funeral of the prominent cleric at the Grand Musalla (prayer hall) of Tehran.
The deceased will be laid to rest in the city of Qom.
Ayatollah Hashemi Shahroudi passed away at the age of 70 at a hospital in Tehran on Monday.
