Sardar Azmoun Shortlisted for AFC International Player of Week

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Zenit forward Sardar Azmoun was shortlisted for this week's AFC International Player of the Week.

Another goal for Azmoun, who stands at the top of the Russian Premier League scoring charts with 13 - one more than teammate Artem Dzyuba.

Azmoun’s latest addition came from the penalty spot, but he could easily have found himself with a hat-trick if not for some fine saves from Akhmat’s Giorgi Shelia.

Gulzhigit Alykulov (Kairat Almaty, Kyrgyz Republic), Sam Kerr (Chelsea, Australia), Masaya Okugawa (Arminia Bielefeld, Japan), Ritsu Doan (Arminia Bielefeld, Japan), Hwang Ui-jo (Bordeaux, Korea Republic), Mary Fowler (Montpellier, Australia), Shahrom Samiev (Dinamo-Auto Tiraspol, Tajikistan), Valeriy Kichin (Yenisey Krasnoyarsk, Kygryz Republic) and Mahmoud Wadi (Pyramids FC, Palestine) are also shortlisted for this week’s AFC International Player of the Week.
