Iran’s Defense Minister Hopes for A World Free of War, Violence in Nowruz Message

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Defense Minister of Iran Brigadier General Amir Hatami expressed hope for global peace and a world free from violence, wars and pandemics in a congratulatory message to his foreign counterparts on the festive occasion of Nowruz.

In separate messages on the first day of spring on Sunday, the Iranian general congratulated the defense ministers and the armed forces of Turkey, India, Iraq, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan on Nowruz.

In his message, the Iranian defense minister wished that the new solar year would usher in rapport, solidarity, calm and peace.

He also expressed hope for a new year free from any virus, pandemic, violence and war across the world, particularly for the people of the region.

In January, a number of Iranian lawmakers prepared a motion to establish a treaty on military alliance among the resistance front’s countries and groups in countering threats from the Israeli regime.
