IPL: Sepahan Back on Top
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sepahan football team defeated Saipa 1-0 to move back top of the Iran Professional league (IPL) table.
Eazatollah Pourghaz scored the only goal of the match with a header just three minutes into the game in Tehran’s Dastgerdi Stadium.
Gol Gohr also defeated struggling Machine Sazi 3-1 thanks to a hat trick from Younes Shakeri. Mohammad Ebrahimi was on target for the visiting team.
Sepahan sits top with 40 points, two points adrift of Persepolis.
