Zarif: Iran, Kazakhstan Share Objectives on Nuclear Disarmament

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said Tehran and Nur-Sultan have common goals when it comes to global nuclear disarmament and regional stability.

In a post on his Twitter account on Thursday, Zarif highlighted the good results of his visit to Kazakhstan in a tour of Central Asia.

“In Kazakhstan on third leg of my regional tour, where I’ve had substantive and fruitful meetings with President Tokayev and FM Tileuberdi,” the top Iranian diplomat said.

“Our two countries share many objectives on regional stability and global nuclear disarmament,” he added.

“As always, our neighbors are our priority,” he underscored.

The Iranian foreign minister visited Kazakhstan after trips to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

He is scheduled to pay a visit to Turkmenistan afterwards.
