Unity of IRGC, Army Thwarting Plots against Iran: Commander
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Hossein Salami hailed the unbreakable unity between his forces and the Army as a factor that ensures Iran’s security and foils the hostile plots and threats.
The IRGC commander sent a message to Army Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi on Friday, congratulating him on the Army Day and the Ground Force Day.
In his message, Major General Salami praised the unbreakable unity, fraternity and coordination between the IRGC and the Army as an element that has defeated the enemy’s plans.
By joining hands and exercising wisdom and vigilance, the IRGC and the Army work as the Iranian nation’s “iron fist” in the face of enemies, he added.
The IRGC chief also stressed that the Iranian military forces will never allow the enemies to upset the country’s security and calm.
In comments in April 2018, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei commended Major General Mousavi for his emphasis on unity among all Iranian Armed Forces, describing such a stance as a sign of the commander’s executive intelligence.
Iran marks the Army Day on Farvardin 29 (April 18).
Last year, the Army decided to carry out an alternative plan for military parades in celebration of the Army Day to prevent any gathering of people in order to contain the spread of the coronavirus and help the medical staff in the battle with COVID-19.
