TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The heads of the Russian and Chinese teams of negotiators involved in the talks for reviving the 2015 nuclear deal visited the residence of Iran’s chief negotiator and deputy foreign minister, Abbas Araqchi, in Vienna to hold trilateral talks.
The Friday meeting in Vienna was held as part of the ongoing consultations between Iran and the P4+1 negotiators.
Technical talks and discussions between the JCPOA parties on the removal of sanctions and nuclear issues are still underway at different levels.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry’s website has dismissed reports that the negotiating teams have decided to stop the talks and return to their capitals, stressing that the talks are still going on.
The latest session of the Joint Commission of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action came to an end in Vienna on Thursday as the participants have agreed to proceed with the technical negotiations at the expert-level meetings.
The results of the meetings of those two expert groups about the technical issues regarding the removal of sanctions and the nuclear issues will be submitted to the JCPOA Joint Commission.
