Cheick Diabate to Stay in Esteghlal
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal football team forward Cheick Diabate gave the green light to the Iranian team to extend his contract.
Iranian media reports suggest that the Malian forward has verbally promised to Esteghlal coach Farhad Majidi to extend his deal.
Diabate played a key role in the 2021 AFC Champions League (West), helping Esteghlal to book a place at the Round of 16.
Diabate, who started his professional career in France and has played in Bordeaux, Ajaccio, Nancy and Metz, joined Esteghlal in June 2019 on a two-year contract.
