Hazfi Cup Round of Eight: Persepolis Draws Esteghlal
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis and Esteghlal football teams will play each other in Round of Eight of Iran’s Hazfi Cup.
The Tehran giants will play together in Tehran derby, which is one of the most exciting derbies in the world.
Esteghlal defeated Persepolis on penalties in the last year’s semifinals.
The first tiers Malavan and Kheybar Khoramabad will play in Bandar Anzali.
Sepahan will host Foolad in Isfahan.
Gol Gohar has been also drawn with Aluminum.
Esteghlal is the most decorated team in the competition, winning the title seven times, followed by Persepolis with six titles.
The competition was founded in 1975.
