Hard to Play in Any Tournament’s First Match: Behnam Yakhchali
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran basketball team guard Behnam Yakhchali says that it’s always hard to play the first game of the tournament.
Iran lost to Czech Republic 84-78 in its opening match in Group A of the 2020 Olympic Games on Sunday.
Behnam Yakhchali had a game-high 23 points for Team Melli.
“It's always hard to play the first game of the tournament. We had too many turnovers, we allowed them 16 offensive rebounds,” Yakhchali said.
“In the second half, we did come back. We need to play like we did in the second half in our next two games,” he added.
