UEFA: Taremi’s Goal against Chelsea Voted Best Goal of Season
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mehdi Taremi’s spectacular strike against Chelsea in the Champions League was voted as UEFA.com Goal of the Season for 2020/21.
The voting for the best goal of the 2020/21 season took place on the UEFA website in the various competitions organized by the governing body of European football.
Taremi received nearly 30% of the votes to win UEFA.com Goal of the Season for his stunning overhead kick against Chelsea.
Taremi's sensational effort came deep into added time of the teams' UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg, though it was not enough to prevent Porto from being eliminated by the eventual winner.
