Saeid Marouf Likely to Retire from National Duty

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran volleyball setter Saeid Marouf has reportedly retired from national duty.

Marouf was a member of the team who failed to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games quarter-finals.

Now, Iran volleyball team director Amir Khoshkhabar has confirmed that Marouf has no intention to play for the national team again.

The 36-year-old player, who is one the world’s best setters, traveled to USA from Japan after Team Melli’s elimination and didn’t return to Iran.
