Over 560 More COVID-19 Deaths Reported in Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Health Ministry on Thursday reported over 560 more deaths from the coronavirus in the country.
The Health Ministry put the death toll from COVID-19 at 96,216 after 568 patients died of the disease from Wednesday noon to Thursday noon.
It said 39,049 new coronavirus cases were detected in the country over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 4,320,266.
According to the ministry, more than 3,647,000 patients have recovered from the coronavirus infection or have been discharged from hospitals across Iran so far.
It added that some 26.9 million coronavirus diagnostic tests have been carried out in Iran so far and more than 14.2 million people have received the first dose of coronavirus vaccine.
Worldwide, more than 205 million people have been infected with COVID-19 and nearly 4.35 million people have died of the disease.
