Iran Beaten by S. Korea at Asian Women's Handball C’ship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran lost to South Korea 46-21 in semifinals round of the 2021 Asian Women's Handball Championship at the Princess Sumaya Hall in Amman, Jordan on Thursday.

The Iranian women, who has already booked its place in the 2021 World Women's Handball Championship, will meet Kazakhstan on Saturday in the third-place match.

The 2021 Asian Women's Handball Championship is being held in Jordan from September 15 to 25.

On August 9, 2020, the Asian Handball Federation decided to postpone the championship due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, the championship was scheduled to take place from December 10 to 22, 2020.

On August 3, 2021, the AHF announced to move the event from South Korea to Jordan due to the pandemic.
