Hassan Yazdani Victorious over David Taylor in World Wrestling Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian freestyler Hassan Yazdani took revenge for his loss against David Taylor in 2020 Olympic Games in the 2021 World Wrestling Championship on Sunday.
He defeated his American opponent 6-2 in the final match of the 86kg.
Yazdani had lost to Taylor three times.
In the 2020 Olympic Games final, Yazdani was ahead 3-2 with only 18 seconds left in the match before Taylor scored the winning takedown.
In Oslo, Norway, Yazdani, nicknamed the Greatest, defeated Taylor for the first time ever.
