IHF Women's Handball World Championship: Iran Loses to Norway

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran was defeated 41-9 against three-time winner and European champion Norway in its second match in the 2021 International Handball Federation (IHF) World Women's Handball Championship Sunday night.

Team Melli, who competes in the competition for the first time, had lost to Romania 39-11 in the first match.

Iran will face Kazakhstan on Tuesday in Group C.

The top three teams in each group stage will advance to the main stage.

There are four host venues - all situated in the East of Spain - for the tournament.

These are Palau d'Esports de Granollers in Granollers, Poliesportiu Pla de L'Arc in Llíria, Pabellón Ciutat de Castelló in Castellón and Palacio de los Deportes de Torrevieja in Torrevieja.
