Hazfi Cup: Persepolis Sees Off Vista Turbine
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis defeated Vista Turbine football team 4-0 in Round of 32 of Iran’s Hazfi Cup.
On Monday, Mohammad Sharifi gave Persepolis the lead in the 64th minute on a rainy day at the Azadi Stadium.
Siamak Nemati doubled the lead in the 65th minute and Issa Alekasir scored Persepolis’ third goal in the 80th minute. Ali Shojaei scored a curling goal in the dying moments of the match.
Furthermore, Tractor lost to Mes Rafsanjan 3-1 on penalties after a goalless draw in 120 minutes. Sanat Naft defeated Shams Azar Qazvin 3-1 and Khalij Fars Mahshahr beat Havadar Tehran 1-0.
Esteghlal football team is the most decorated club with seven titles, followed by Persepolis with six titles.
