India Held by Gritty Iran in AFC Women’s Asian Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Gritty Iran held India to a 0-0 draw in its AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 Group A clash at the D.Y. Patil Stadium on Thursday.
India had the better chances but Iran kept the host at bay as both teams now set their sights on their Matchday Two ties.
Iran has started in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup for the first time ever.
India will be aiming to claim its first win when it faces Chinese Taipei on Sunday, while Iran face eight-time champion China.
