TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Protesters in Minneapolis demanded justice after a no-knock warrant resulted in the death of a 22-year-old man during a police raid.

Dozens of protesters gathered outside the Minneapolis Peace Officers Standards and Training Board on Wednesday evening, demanding the arrest and prosecution of the officers involved in the killing of Amir Locke, a 22-year-old Black man shot by police during a no-knock raid.

Protesters were seen holding signs reading 'Justice for Amir Locke' as some danced and chanted.

"We want the officers arrested and charged, we are going to stay in the streets until it is justice for Amir Locke. We want to also see some resignations over there in Minneapolis as it pertains to the chief of police," said one protester during a speech.

Locke was shot and killed by police within seconds of entering an apartment where he was sleeping, on February 2, during a no-knock raid by Minneapolis Police Department officers.

Locke, who was not the target of the investigation, was seen in body cam footage in his bed under a blanket, holding a gun, which was not pointed at the officers.
