Israeli Occupation Closes Beit Hanoun Crossing with Gaza

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Israeli occupation has closed the Beit Hanoun "Erez" crossing with the Gaza Strip until further notice, claiming that rockets were launched from the Strip, according to Al Mayadeen.

The Israeli regime on Saturday announced an indefinite closure of the only crossing from the Gaza Strip for workers and traders allegedly in response to rockets fired overnight from the Palestinian enclave.

The measure follows more than a week of violent confrontations at the Al Aqsa Mosque compound where more than 200 Palestinians have been injured by rubber bullets, tear gas and stun grenades fired by Israeli occupation forces.

For weeks, the Israeli forces have been raiding the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the occupied Old City of al-Quds, as thousands of worshipers gathered at the mosque for prayers.
