Iran to Play Ecuador in Friendly
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran will play Ecuador in a friendly match in Toronto, Canada as part of preparation for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Ecuador was originally slated to face Mali in a pre-tournament-friendly match in the United States. However, the South American team will play Iran instead of the African team on June 11.
Ecuador has been drawn in Group A along with Qatar, Senegal and the Netherlands, while Team Melli has been drawn in Group B along with England, the US, and either Scotland, Wales or Ukraine.
Iran will play Canada in Vancouver on June 5.
