14 People Indicted for Role in Assassination of Iranian Nuclear Scientist

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Tehran's prosecutor said indictments have been issued against 14 persons in connection with the assassination of prominent Iranian scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, who was killed in November 2020.

The prosecutor of Tehran said warrants and indictments have been issued against 14 people in the case of assassination of Fakhrizadeh, the senior nuclear and defense scientist who was assassinated in a small city east of Tehran on November 27, 2020.

Ali Salehi said the 14 people have been charged with aiding and abetting in corruption on earth, involvement in intelligence and espionage cooperation with the Zionist regime, collusion with the purpose of disrupting the country’s security, and action against the national security.

In a message after the assassination attack, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei called on all relevant administrators to “investigate this crime and firmly prosecute its perpetrators and its commanders” and “to continue the martyr’s scientific and technological efforts in all the sectors where he was active.”

Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani had announced that Munafeqin (Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization terrorists), the Zionist regime, and its spy service Mossad have been behind the assassination attack.
