Esteghlal Edges Gol Gohar in IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal football team edged past Gol Gohar 2-1 on Matchday 7 of the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Saturday.
Mohammad Mohebi was on target for Esteghlal in the 29th minute but Mehdi Tikdari canceled out his goal in the 54th minute.
In the injury time, Amin Ghaseminejhad brought down Esteghlal player in the area and Kevin Yamga found the back of the net from the penalty spot.
In Ahvaz, Foolad was held to a 0-0 draw by Mes Kerman and Zob Ahan defeated Paykan 1-0 in Isfahan.
On Sunday, Persepolis will play Tractor in Tehran, Sanat Naft face Mes Rafsanjan in Abadan and Sepahan meet Havadar in Tehran.
