Betim Chosen to Host 2022 Volleyball Club World C’ship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Brazilian city Betim was chosen as host of the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship.

Paykan of Iran will represent Asia in the competition.

The current champion is Brazil's Sada Cruzeiro, who defeated Italian club Lube Civitanova 3–0 in the final match in 2021 to win its fourth title in the competition.

Italian teams have been the most successful, with 10 titles.

The FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship will take place in Betim from December 7 to 11.

The competition was first contested in 1989 and it was not held between 1995 and 2009, but since 2010, the competition has been held every year and has been hosted by a range of countries including Qatar, Poland, Brazil and Italy.
