Iran Condemns Brutal Israeli Attack on Jenin Camp

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned a brutal attack by the Zionist regime’s military forces on Jenin refugee camp that has killed several Palestinians.

In a statement on Thursday, Nasser Kanaani categorically condemned the attack by the criminal forces of the apartheid Zionist regime on the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank.

He said the inaction and muted response from the relevant international organizations and the fake defenders of human rights in the West over the daily crimes committed by the occupying Israeli regime is painful and a cause for shame.

Kanaani also called on the Islamic countries to adopt a united stance and act in defense of the oppressed Palestinian people and their legitimate resistance against the Zionist occupiers.

The Iranian spokesman also demanded serious action in order to prevent inhumane and terrorist acts by the apartheid Zionist regime, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.

On Thursday, Israeli troops killed 10 Palestinians in one of the deadliest days in the occupied West Bank since Israeli raids intensified at the start of last year.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, nine of the Palestinians killed were in the Jenin refugee camp, after Israeli forces raided the area.

The other Palestinian, a 22-year-old man, was shot by Israeli forces in the town of al-Ram, north of Jerusalem.

In the Jenin raid, which Palestinians have described as a “massacre”, at least 20 others were wounded with live ammunition. Four of them were in critical condition.
