Iran Ready to Share Experiences, Knowledge with Tanzania

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian expressed the country’s readiness to assist Tanzania in the process of development and industrialization and provide the East African nation with experiences and technical know-how in various fields.

In a telephone conversation on Thursday, Amirabdollahian and his Tanzanian counterpart Stergomena Lawrence Tax talked about the issues of mutual interest and expansion of cooperation between the two countries.

Congratulating Tax on her appointment as Tanzania’s new foreign minister, the top Iranian diplomat underlined the need for the expansion of cooperation in different fields.

Fortunately, Iran and Tanzania share views at the international organizations and about the expansion of ties, especially in trade and economic fields, he added.

Amirabdollahian then voiced Iran’s readiness to share its know-how and experiences, particularly in the knowledge-based spheres as well as in the fields of agriculture, fishery, dam construction, watershed, and irrigation, with Tanzania.

Tax, for her part, called for expansion of cooperation between the two nations in different areas, the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s website reported.

She added that Tanzania has put on its agenda the pursuit of cooperation with Iran, especially in trade and economic fields. She also called for plans to hold the joint commission of the two sides as soon as possible.
