Foolad Edges IPL Leader Persepolis
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Foolad football team edged past Iran Professional League (IPL) leader Persepolis 1-0 thanks to a spectacular volley from Roberto Torres.
The Spanish midfielder found the back of the net in Ahvaz’s Foolad Stadium in the 22nd minute.
Soon after, Persepolis put the host under pressure but failed to level the score.
Persepolis still remains top with 35 points, two points above Sepahan.
