Protest Held in Munich Against Arms Deliveries to Ukraine (+Video)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Hundreds of people demonstrated in Munich, Germany, against the shipment of weapons to Ukraine and called for peace talks.
Protests are raging after Germany and the United States announced that they will send advanced battle tanks to Ukraine, offering what one expert called an “armored punching force” to help Kyiv break combat stalemates as the Russian invasion enters its 12th month.
While the news was welcomed by Ukraine and Western allies, Germans took to the streets of Munich en masse on Wednesday to protest against the decision.
Last Thursday, Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitri Peskov claimed that Moscow saw the supply of weapons by Western countries to Ukraine as 'direct involvement' in the conflict.
