Iran Advances to 2023 AFC U-20 Asian Cup Quarterfinals
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran booked its place at the 2023 AFC U-20 Asian Cup Uzbekistan quarterfinals with a 3-1 win over Vietnam on Tuesday.
Iran edged past Qatar 1-0 in its opening match and lost to Australia 3-2 in Group B.
Iran’s next match will be held on March 11.
Mohammad Amin Hazbavi opened the scoring for Iran in the 36th minute but Khuat Van Khang equalized the match in the 56th minute.
Saeid Saharkhizan made it 2-1 in the 75th minute and Mohammad Hosseinnezhad scored the third goal in the injury time.
