Iran, Iraq Determined to Strengthen Trade, Economic Cooperation

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq are poised to enhance their relations in trade and economic fields.

Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Seyed Ehsan Khandouzi met and held talks with the Iraqi Minister of Trade Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairy in Baghdad on Monday.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral ties and explored avenues for promoting trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Iranian minister of economy, who has traveled to the Iraqi capital of Baghdad at the head of a delegation to attend the 5th Iran-Iraq Joint Economic Commission meeting, exchanged views with the Iraqi minister on bolstering ties in the field of trade and economy.

The 5th round of the Iran-Iraq Joint Economic Commission meeting kicked off in Baghdad on Sunday, March 12, and will end on March 13.

The Iranian delegation includes representatives of the public and private sectors.
