Iranian Wrestlers Win Six Medals at Armenia’s Tournament

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian wrestlers claimed six medals at the Benur Pashayan International Greco-Roman Championship.

Fardin Hedayati in the 130kg and Amir Reza Akbari in the 97kg won a gold and a silver medal, respectively.

Arash Negahdari in 55kg, Reza Gheytasi in 63kg, Morteza Pour Issa in 72kg and Amir Reza Moradian in 87kg won four bronze medals.

The wrestling tournament is named after Armenian Benur Pashayan, who won two gold medals at World and European championships.

Pashayan also won a gold medal at the 1984 Friendship Games during the Olympic boycott.
