Iran Team Sprint Wins Gold at Track Asian Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran claimed the gold medal in the men’s Team Sprint of the Track Asian Cup held at the Yamuna Velodrome in New Delhi, India.
The Iranian team finished in first place with a time of 46.287.
South Korea came second with 46.774 and bronze medal went to Thailand with 47.656.
In the women’s Sprint Team, Iran Suren Team (Fatemeh Hadavand and Parastoo Bastidehkharghani) won the bronze medal with 39.953.
India snatched the gold with 39.702 and Uzbekistan came third with 41.852.
In the junior women 500m Time Trial, Foorozan Abdohlahi (Iran Suren Team) bagged a bronze with a time of 40.476.
Amritha Reghunathan (SAINCA) won gold with 39.927 and silver medal went to Anu Chutia (Ind) with 40.093.
The competition is in progress at the Indira Gandhi Stadium Velodrome from November 18 to 20.
