Iranian U-23 Players Lack Enough Experience: Coach Peyravani
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran U-23 coach Amirhossein Peyravani said that his boy lost to Oman since they have no enough experience.
Iran was defeated against Oman 2-0 in Group A of the AFC U-23 Championship Qualification on Sunday.
“We knew that we would have problems in this game. The opponent was very disciplined. They played better than us in many moments,” Amirhossein Peyravani said in the post-match news conference.
“In general, we came to this tournament with a risky composition. Our young players did not have enough experience. I congratulate to Oman for the win. They deservedly won a ticket to the final,” he added.
“We very much hope that we will get to the final part as one of the best teams that took the second place,” Peyravani concluded.
