ACL: Esteghlal Winger Ghafouri A Doubt for Al Ain Match
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Esteghlal football team winger Voria Ghafouri will likely be absent in the match against Al Ain of the UAE.
On Tuesday, the Iranian team will host Al Ain in Matchday Two of the 2019 AFC Champions League Group C in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Ghafouri has suffered a foot injury and was absent in the match against Naft Masjed Soleyman in Iran league. He will likely miss the match against the Emirati team as well.
Esteghlal defender Khosro Heydari will also miss the match due to injury.
Esteghlal started the ACL new season with a 3-0 defeat to Al Duhail of Qatar last week.
